This course provides students with fundamental knowledge of information security in both theoretical and practical aspects.
It covers the basic knowledge needed to understand the key concepts of confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Then it dives into practical applications of these ideas in the areas of operational, physical, network, application, and operating system security.
This course presents information on how to analyze risks to your networks and the steps needed to select and deploy the appropriate countermeasures to reduce your exposure to physical and network threats. It also imparts the skills and knowledge needed to identify and counter some fundamental security risks and requirements, including Internet security threats and measures and how to implement security policies and procedures.
