报告人简介：Xiangshi REN is Professor in the School of Information, Director of the Center for Human-Engaged Computing at Kochi University of Technology. He received a B.E. degree in Electrical and Communication Engineering, and M.E. and Ph.D. degrees in Information and Communication Engineering from Tokyo Denki University in Japan in 1991, 1993, and 1996, respectively. He was a visiting faculty researcher at IBM Research (Almaden), and visiting professor at the University of Toronto. He is a Senior Member of the ACM, a Senior Member of the IEEE.
讲座摘要：This talk focuses on the future of human-computer interaction (HCI) which is hot interdisciplinary area. Prof. Ren has proposed a new concept - human-engaged computing (HEC) for the future generation of human-computer interaction. He will explain the history of HCI and the framework of HEC. He will also give a brief introduction to on-going projects in his group.
